Esmaeil Nadimi received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Aalborg University, Denmark in 2008. He then joined University of Southern Denmark and later visited the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Harvard University for a period of one year working at the Wireless Communication and Signal Processing Lab. In 2014, he established the group of statistical signal processing and machine learning at the University of Southern Denmark, where he is currently a professor of signal processing and the leader of the team of machine learning. He is affiliated with several research organisations including the Centre for Innovative Medicine, SDU e-Science centre and the centre of excellence on advanced colorectal diseases. He is an IEEE senior member and the recipient of several awards and grants.
